The blade, made of durable stain-free, high-carbon steel, is individually grounded to create specialized scallops forming multiple sharp cutting edges. The points of the scallops easily break through thick-crusted breads and the firm skin of fruits and vegetables. Perfect for waxy vegetables like peppers and tomatoes and large fruits such as cantaloupe, pineapple, or watermelon. The curved blade keeps knuckles away from the cutting surface, allowing you to safely cut in comfort. The soft, ergonomic handle provides a comfortable, textured non-slip grip that matches the contours of the hand. The large size of this blade allows it to tackle larger loafs of bread and other foods, but if you would prefer a smaller blade, we also have an 8” version. (#024383)
